Kreate joins the government’s renovation project for the government palace

Kreate has signed a contract with Consti Korjausrakentaminen Oy for the foundation works for the renovation and extension project at the Government Palace. Kreate is working as a partner to Consti on the project. The contract value will not be disclosed, but Kreate will include the amount in its order book for the third quarter.

Earlier this year, Senate Properties and Consti signed a flagship project alliance agreement relating to the project. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately 195 million euros. The project involves the refurbishment of the Government Palace, situated on the edge of Senate Square in Helsinki, and the construction of a possible extension.

Kreate’s contract involves highly demanding foundation works at a site of architectural and historical significance. The works include, amongst other things, foundation reinforcement, structural shoring, jet grouting and complex excavation work.

The project highlights expertise in specialised foundation engineering, meticulous planning and the ability to carry out demanding work in a valuable and protected environment. Kreate’s work on the project will begin in September 2026. The project is expected to be completed during 2030.
