SUBSTANTIAL EARTHMOVING AND FOUNDATION CONTRACT FOR KESKO’S LOGISTICS CENTRE IN HYVINKÄÄ

Together with Kesko, Kreate’s foundation and concrete structure builders are executing an earthmoving and foundation construction contract for a logistics centre that will serve Onninen and K-Auto. Located in Hyvinkää, the logistics centre will cover an area of 85,000 m2 and our professionals will be responsible for the project’s foundation construction and concrete construction up to the pile slab.

We started the earthmoving for the logistics centre that will serve Onninen and K-Auto in November 2022. In the contract, we advance by leveraging our firm expertise in foundation and engineering construction, drawing on our expertise from previous demanding, extensive earthmoving contracts and the projects in the fields of industry and trade that were carried out in smooth cooperation.

The logistics centre will be built on a 42-hectare plot with soft soil, which means that the building requires strong foundation structures. This makes the earthmoving contract large. Work planning and scheduling play a key role in the moving of exceptionally large soil masses, driving reinforced concrete piles and executing the other foundation structures.

We are executing the massive earthmoving and foundation contract in stages, starting with the moving of masses and site preparation. Once the site preparation is complete, we will build the foundation up to the pile slab.

In this massive contract, approximately 4,500 cubic metres of concrete will be cast each month. More than 148 kilometres of reinforced concrete piles will be driven; the piling will be managed by Kreate’s joint venture KFS Finland.
